Retour en CD et vinyle de la collection culte des Blue Break Beats et ses tracks jazz-funk originales samplées par les « pilleurs créatifs » du hip-hop.

Sortie au début des années 1990, la collection Blue Break Beats initiée par le légendaire label Blue Note Records a connu un succès retentissant. Ces trois albums compilent les titres originaux des géants du jazz funky, dont Herbie Hancock, Donald Byrd, Lou Donaldson, Grant Green et Gene Harris samplés et remixés par Kanye West, Eminem, Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, A Tribe Called Quest, Common, Pete Rock, Gang Starr, Ice-T, The Chemical Brothers, Wu-Tang Clan, Tricky, Bloodhound Gang, The Pharcyde, De La Soul, Madlib, Guru et… Madonna !
